DIEG, the artistic name of Diego Gomes, is the true embodiment of the cultural evolution of Mindelo, rooted in a family where art is a precious legacy from generation to generation.

Born in January 1994, Diego goes beyond the expected, weaving the rich heritage of his homeland into each musical creation. As a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, DIEG takes with him the experience gained on his international tours to his solo career, with the firm purpose of honoring and revitalizing Cape Verdean music. His new solo show serves as a window into his creative soul, providing an intimate journey through the artist’s creative process and his evolution as a human being.
